Video Blade uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

🔒 Strictly Necessary Cookies Required

Essential for the website to function. These cannot be disabled. They include session cookies for authentication, CSRF protection tokens, and load balancer routing.

⚙️ Functional Cookies Required

Enable enhanced functionality like remembering your preferences (language, theme, last-used AI model) and maintaining your generation history within a session.

📊 Analytics Cookies Optional

Help us understand how visitors use the Service so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. These cookies collect aggregated, anonymous data about page views, feature usage, and navigation paths.

📢 Marketing Cookies Optional

Used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. These are only set if you explicitly consent. We do not run targeted ads on the platform itself.

5. GDPR Compliance

5.1 Your Rights Under GDPR

  • Right to Rectification (Art. 16): Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Right to Erasure (Art. 17): Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to Restriction (Art. 18): Restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV)
  • Right to Object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling
  • Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7): Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: File a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority

5.2 How to Exercise Your Rights

You can exercise your GDPR rights by:

  • Using the "Privacy Settings" section in your account dashboard
  • Requesting a data export from your account settings

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. For complex requests, we may extend this to 60 days with prior notification.

5.4 International Transfers

Your data is processed on AWS servers in the United States (us-west-2 region). For transfers from the EU/EEA, we rely on:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission (Decision 2021/914)
  • EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification where applicable
  • Supplementary technical measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)

5.5 Data Processing Agreements

We maintain Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all sub-processors that handle personal data on our behalf, including AWS, Stripe, OpenAI, Google, and ElevenLabs.

6. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know: What personal information we collect and how it's used
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: Equal service regardless of exercising privacy rights

7. Do Not Track

Video Blade respects "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals. When DNT is enabled, we disable optional analytics and marketing cookies automatically.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie & GDPR Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
